NCCR Docol BACKBONE frame for Buell XB Solid

Manufactured in high strength Swedish SSAB Docol steel, NCCR´s BACKBONE frames are available for solid engine mount or with the Buell Uniplanar rubber mounting system (Art.Nr. 200111). NCCR´s BACKBONE frame with Solid motor mount offer a maximum freedom of design with your Buell Custombike project and the lack of front subframe and mounting points make it the lightest Custom / Raceframe on the market. The idea behind the Backbone concept is to have a highly compact and in strength and flex easy to influence unit what carry all necessary functions to ride. The frame accepts Buell XB components, like fork, shock, swing arm, engine and exhaust. The motor need be converted to right side fuel delivery by injection or carburetor (manifold available) and the rubber mounts at the front cylinder and in the back need to be modified to solid mounting. A kit for that is optional available, including rear bushings replacing the rubbers and the front motor mount (exchange). The box frame design allow to place elements like ignition coils, breather filters, electric box, cables, hoses, etc. in the frame profile. The Solid BACKBONE frame comes ready to take the XB engine family and a set of Timken style steering head bearings. A foot peg (engine mount) kit is optional available in the drop down menu. For an rear sub frame 4 mounting points are already prepared at the frame.
